Transport & Shipping
Delivery timescales
Stock items will normally be dispatched within approximately 2 weeks of receipt of payment. We will confirm a delivery date at point of order and once payment is received. Any variation to time or date will be advised the proceeding week before the original delivery date.
Items that are made to order would normally take between 8-12 weeks from point of order. An approximate delivery date will be given on receipt of a signed confirmation of order, by email or post, and your 50% deposit. We will then proceed to manufacture these goods. A firm delivery date will be advised 2 weeks prior to delivery. Please ring for approximate delivery dates outside of mainland UK.
Courier Deliveries
Paint and smaller items will be dispatched by courier and will normally be delivered within 7 working days. Large orders of paint may take longer to deliver. Standard deliver prices range from £8.00 – £25.00 depending on the weight of the items being delivered. An exact price will be advised on application.
Freight - Stone/Heavy items
Extremely heavy items will be delivered by a freight company. Prices will depend on location and quanitity. Items will be craned off the lorry to kerb side only. It is your sole responsibility to move these and put in place by your own means. We will advise on delivery prices on application as this is determined by weight of item/s.
Delivery service
We require someone is present to take deliveries as a signature is required. If there is no one present, goods will be brought back to Vale and charges will apply.
Vale’s delivery service will vary on goods ordered and we will notify you at point of order for number of men required for your delivery. On arrival your item/s will be placed in a ground floor room of your choice. Please note that they will not normally negotiate any stairs with any item. All packaging will be taken away for recycling.
Furniture Access
Please make sure you measure correctly before ordering any furniture. Consider doorways, walkways and limited access areas which the furniture will have to pass through. If you fail to take delivery of the goods or fail to give Vale adequate delivery instructions at the time stated for delivery (e.g. access issues), Vale will store the product and reserves the right to charge the customer all reasonable costs of storage including insurance and/or reserves the right to require immediate payment as though delivery has been made if any outstanding payments are due.
Delivery Prices
Vale provide a one or two man delivery service will be provided for larger, fragile items for delivery in mainland UK only. Vale offer a local rate and a national rate depending on where you are based in relation to our showroom. Local rate is for deliveries within a 25mile radius of Vale’s showrooms. For a one man delivery this is £40.00 and for two men (large items) this is £60.00. Our national rate prices are £75.00 for one man and £125.00 for two men. You will be advised on how many men it will require to deliver your furniture and the delivery price at point of order. For orders over £2500 delivery will be free of charge but must be delivered as one consignment.
